A Wonderful 21st Birthday!

I had the most wonderful 21st birthday this weekend. Drew planned a weekend trip to Colorado, so I could spend time with my family! I was more than excited. We drove out Thursday, spent Thursday and Friday with Drew's family and friends and then drove down to Colorado Springs, Saturday through Monday. Friday, we spent the day at Drew's little brother's track meet and then met his best friend Taylor for a night at Elitches. It had to of been at least 6 years since the last time I had been and was a night full of laughter.

Then, it was time for Saturday!!! When we got to the springs, my brothers and Drew went to the movies, and my mom and I went shopping (strange I know!) but it was so much fun! We call it "bonding." hehe. anywho, my parents spoiled me rotten!! My mom bought me a whole new outfit and my dad bought me lightroom. (something I have wanted FOREVER) so, be expecting lots of photography projects from here on out! We also went to Texas Roadhouse for my birthday dinner and watched movies all night. It was so fun!

Sunday was my actual birthday! Church was wonderful as always and then we had Chuck (pretty much my other dad) over for dinner. Here are some pictures of us at dinner...

I sure do love him ;]

...more than words could ever explain...

my best friend...and the best mom ever!

My brothers are so awesome! and my husband!! Dillon and I were wondering through hobby lobby and saw all the cake decorating stuff, and decided we were going to make each other super sweet birthday cakes this year! Dillon decided to make me butterfly cupcakes! Tanner and Spencer wanted to help and so Drew had another bonding experience with my brothers while shopping and making my birthday cakes.

WAHOO! I am finally 21 :]

(blowing out the candles)

A closer look at the awesome cupcakes! I really was spoiled!

I had such a wonderful time with both families and was sad to leave. (I even convinced Drew to let me stay with my mom half of Monday) It was a perfect birthday and I could not have asked for anything better!

Kid's again... Yes, why YES we are :)

Drew was in charge of Family Home Evening one night, and he decided to go back to his youth and make a fort. So, we made a fort in our living room, bought some snacks, and watched Prison Break all night long... well until we both fell asleep! Here is our awesome fort... with the limited resources we had...

It was super fun and we loved every minute of reliving our childhood!

Moving Again... Wahoo!

I am actually super happy about this move! Drew and I started our new jobs and with me working graveyards, my sleep schedule is off... and with 2 three year olds and a 1 year old in the house all day... I was NOT getting any sleep which was making me super ornery... which usually ended up me being super mean to my poor husband :[  SO, we decided that we needed some space... or  maybe I should say we decided that I needed some space.. haha. I guess that is what happens when you graduate high school early and move out and be completely independent for 3 years. You get use to a certain lifestyle and when it changes, it doesn't go over so well. I love being alone with Drew and not having to worry about anyone else being around. I am more than excited to start a family with Drew and experience those changes, but when the children you are living with are not yours... it makes things a lot harder. So this move was so refreshing and makes for another new adventure.
(We will be moving into a more permanent place in August :])

When We were moving everything the kids were great helps! ha. Alivia helped carry everything she could to the car and Adam... well let's just say he stayed out of the way.. hahaha

** Don't mind the dust**

Our 1st Valentines Day (SUPER late... I know)

I know this post is a little late, but I have been meaning to take pictures of our valentines gifts to each other for forever and just barely got around to it... whoops...

Here is us on our way to dinner! I love Drew so very much! What a stud! I am so lucky to have such a wonderful man as my eternal companion!
[Pictures coining soon]

We had a super awesome Valentines. I honestly could not have asked for a better one. We exchanged gifts periodically throughout the day and then at the end of the day, we went to Flemings. If you haven't heard of or been to Flemings, it is a formal steakhouse... and so DELICIOUS! Drew has been dying to go there for forever, but due to how expensive it is, we decided to save the trip for special occasions. We made a new Valentines Tradition to always go to Flemings for dinner... if there is one wherever we end up ;]

Since we are newlyweds and super poor ;] we had to get creative. We both spent a little money on each other, but made sure it was all meaningful.

Gifts from Drew to Me:
A Massage
(I am constantly asking Drew to rub my back! I feel like it never stops hurting and Drew is always so willing and loving to rub my back every time I ask... sometimes even when I don't ask)

A do-it-yourself back massager
(Drew then gave me this dealio, so when he wasn't around, I could still get a back massage!)

Chinese Lanterns
(We both love the movie Tangled and had the idea to make the lanterns in the movie and then light them into the air... Drew beat me to it... unfortunately, spray fireproofer is like impossible to find, so we didn't end up doing this on Valentines day, but still plan on doing so soon!! :])

Gifts from Me to Drew:
Getting my nails done
(You may think this was a gift to myself, but there is nothing more Drew likes than acrylic nails and a head scratch! I hadn't had my nails on since the wedding, so he was starting to go through withdrawals ;] So, I got my nails put back on and he got a pretty awesome head scratch if I do say so myself)

Ralph Lauren Cologne
(This may sound cheesy, but one of the things I absolutely love about Drew is that he always smells so good! He found this cologne in a magazine and has been wanting it ever since... since the regular sizes are like $75, I went cheap and got him the travel size, but it is surprisingly lasting a very long time)

Pictured Rubix Cube
(I was so excited to give this one to Drew! He loves the Rubix Cube, so I saw this super cute idea to cut up pictures and glue them to a Rubix Cube! A few days before Valentines Day, I literally had to HUNT for a Rubix Cube! I went to 2 Walmarts and a Target and then FINALLY found one at the 3rd Walmart I went too. Ridiculous. Anyways, I couldn't keep it a secret and ended up showing Drew the Cube before it was finished.. I still had two more sides to do.. but we mixed up the Rubix Cube and Drew began to solve it... because the pictures have a certain orientation and aren't just a solid color... it took him two days to solve it! But I finally finished it and am actually pretty proud! I didn't have an exact cutter so my next Cube will have super straight lines...)

Our 1st Easter!

The week before Easter, Drew worked every single day till 11pm except Wednesday when he got off at 5pm! I was so excited, but since this was his only night off, it was our night to decorate Easter Eggs. I had gone to the store and bought the little easy to do kits and they were so much fun! I got a glitter box and a tye dye box. We had a blast!

[pictures coming soon :)]

I could not imagine the Easter Bunny not coming this year, so, I took matters into my own hands. I decided to go all out for Easter... well sort of. Drew and I are not big fans of sweets, so it was actually pretty hard to find stuff to go in his basket. My brother and I went Easter shopping a few weeks before Easter and then hid everything in the trunk of my car. Well, Drew was on the hunt for something and for some reason decided to look in the trunk of my car... welp, he figured out that I was planning on doing something big for Easter and was upset that I had gotten stuff for my own basket. haha, So, I was only in charge of his basket and he was in charge of mine! :]

Drew's Easter Basket:
I kind of spoiled my husband! But, what else are wives for ;] Since there are very few sweets that Drew likes, I got him Reeses Easter Eggs, Snickers, 100 Grand, Red Vines, Cinnamon Bears, Fruit Gushers... and then some fun stuff like a... BYU hat, BYU bag, BYU lanyard, and a Rockies hat

Needless to say... He LOVED it all! Mission Accomplished

I also decided to buy a ton of Easter eggs and fill them with little notes with the word egg in them..(and of course some had little goodies...)  Here are a few examples...

* You are EGGstra special
* EGGchange for a kiss
*You are an EGGsraordinary husband

Since Drew had to work the 245-11pm shift at work and I had to work 1030pm-730am, I decorated our room before I went to work, so when he came home, the room would be all decked out. (I would have put the eggs all over the house, but we were still living with Matt & Alexis) Here is our room...

I did not want to forget the true meaning of Easter, so I also went to the church bookstore and picked out this...

I think it is so easy to get wrapped up in the worldly aspect of holidays such as Easter and Christmas, but Drew and I are always trying to make a constant effort to remember Christ in our daily lives, especially on holidays such as these. It would not have been Easter without the remembrance of the Atonement. I am so grateful for everything my Savior has done for me. Not many know this, but Drew and I had no intention of ever getting married. I went to EFY to be a counselor for the week and it wasn't until I was completely taken out of the world and placed in the presence of my Savior, that I realized all of the things the Lord had in store for me, and especially Drew and I. And, not only did He open my eyes, He also opened Drew's eyes that same week and brought us together. It is so easy for me to get wrapped up in school, work, friends, or family, and it is so nice to take a step back and just remember our Savior, Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for everything He has done for me and my family. I am grateful He opened not only my eyes, but Drew's eyes as well and helped us to see the potential we would have together! There has not been one day that our Savior has not been with Drew and I throughout our relationship and I am so grateful that my Heavenly Father sent His only begotten Son to this wicked Earth, all because of the love He has for each and every one of us! Mary and Joseph were such strong and valiant parents to my Savior and I hope that Drew and I can become at least somewhat the parents they were and are! I love my Savior so much and am so grateful for this Easter holiday to remember Him.

Sneak Peak

The first REAL sun of the year!

Here are a few pictures of Drew on the first REAL sun of the year! He ended up working outside all day long and forgot sunscreen and a hat! and this is what happened...

My poor husband was as red as a tomato! He burnt his entire face, neck, arms, and calves. I accidently touched his forehead and he was in so much pain! After a few days, his redness turned into a red shine! So, my husband shines inside and out now.. :] totally cheesy, I know, give me a break. It is 3am and I am working, but should be sleeping since I have finals at 7am! AH!
